About the Collection

The Galbreath Collection: A Decade of Collecting Atlanta chronicles an extraordinary journey through Atlanta's vibrant art scene. For over ten years, George and Esohe Galbreath have intentionally built a collection that does more than fill walls—it preserves Atlanta's visual culture and proves that meaningful collecting is accessible to all.

The Collectors' Story

George and Esohe Galbreath are more than collectors, they're cultural preservationists. Their mission extends beyond acquiring art; they're building bridges between artists and future collectors while documenting Atlanta's artistic legacy.

As founders of Sohé Solutions, they combine their passion for art with practical business acumen to support artists and collectors alike. Their collection, now comprising nearly 200 pieces, stands as testament to their commitment to making art collecting accessible and meaningful.

Artist & Educator

Kevin Cole

Kevin Cole created the very first piece in the Galbreaths' collection. As a mentor to them in both collecting and artistry, acquiring his work felt particularly meaningful. For their 11th anniversary, the Galbreaths commissioned a special copper piece titled "Shared Passion."

Ruby Chavez

The Galbreaths purchased "The Woman with the Head Wrap" from Ruby Chavez at a holiday pop-up event. They even commissioned a similar work for Esohe's sister. Collecting Chavez's work represents the Galbreaths' mission to inspire other collectors, especially in the Black community.

"Yesterday, I had an opportunity to go through the book in full, Wow what a journey, WOW, what a beautiful showing and conversation that you presented to the Community in this 'The First 10 Years'.  I can't wait to see what the next 10 will bring."
